i was newly married, (now divorced though) ate fried and fast foods all day, everyday and lived a completely inactive and unhealthy lifestyle.

my new years resolution for january ’99 was to get in shape.

and i actually followed through with it, began teaching aerobics mid ’99, and ultimately became a certified personal fitness trainer!

hope this is gives someone out there the motivation to follow through with any resolutions you may have!!

I am a girl I am 5’7 and 1/2. I weigh roughly 183-ish. I do have muscle though. I am not terribly overweight, I am about a size 10-12. Is it possible for me to be a size 6 (im flexible, an in-shape size 8 will do too) in about 5 1/2 weeks???

If yes how would I go about doing so (I just got a fitness club membership too). How many times a week should I work out, how many calories a day should I consume, what are some good food suggestions? Keep in mind Im under 18, and I will not crash diet/be bulimic/ be anorexic.

I’m not a college student. I’m a working professional. I want to do total immersion study to learn Spanish in Mexico. I’m doing this for personal enrichment, for job enhancement, for a career makeover perhaps. I’m interested in multicultural communications. Would like to be fluent in a second language.

This is not relevant to my employer, so they probably cannot/won’t offer any financial help.

Never applied for grants before. Don’t know much about it. Could there really be an organization/foundation who’d be willing to offer money to help me do this?

Are there other ways/programs to join that might help pay for this while I help them? Or are there employers (non-governmental) where language training is part of the job?

Any ideas and steps to take would be appreciated.

(Peace Corps said they are not a language school. Plus, currently, Latin American countries have requested help in areas that speak indigenous languages, not Spanish.)

Does anyone own a Sportcraft treadmill model TX 400? I have one and it is absolutely awful. The belt needs constant adjusting and it accelurates without just cause. I can’t get my money back from the company because this actually was a replacement for the TX 4.9 that was also defective.

Don’t ever buy any exercise equipment from this company.
