I would like to know which is better because i was thinking about joining the gym but it costs £15 for membership and another £5 so that i can actually use the equipment in the gym. And i just think that’s way to expensive….!

I am 13 years old and just want to have a skinny lower body to match the top of my body..

I have an exercise bike at home so that makes life easier…

A fitness club provider is saying that I had paid 9.00 back in 2002 to my membership active which doesn’t make sense. They are saying their system places that amount every so often to keep my membership active. I have been using this club on and off for about past 20 years, and I signed the membership agreement when I was a minor back then (or it was likely my dad who signed for me as a parent). During the time frame around year 2002, I was not even using the club and did not care to keep the membership active, and if I made that sort of payment, I would have known. I never authorize them to do a direct debit from bank account or credit card.

Anyone had this kind of experience? What should I do?
If they did a direct debit back in 2002, and I did not notice it, has the statute of limitations long expired so I can’t pursue it as a theft?

I started going to the gym (health club), and my purpose is to have a slimmer waistline. I researched and found out that crunches are not really effective in losing lovehandles. According to the article I read, burning calories is a lot more effective. Does a treadmill really help in burning calories and losing weight? I work full time, and have about an hour commute each day, when i get home i am pretty tired, but have the workout facility at my place of employment, it is basic, like you would find at any hotel, and ideas on a good way to get in better shape using basic cardio equipment, and any suggestions on how to eat healthier on little money, i have a little bit of time to make a lunch, but just find myself putting it off because i am lazy, as with working out, any suggestions on anything i can do?

We’re moving soon to the western side of cleveland. I used to be a member at the downtown Y in orlando, fl which had all the ammenities one could ask for in a gym (pool, sauna, steam room, computerized fitness equipment, exercise programs etc). Is there anything comparable up there for a decent price? I’m having a hard time finding ratings or recommendations for any of the gyms or health clubs.

Bill spent ages 20 to 40 sitting in front of the TV, eating all the bad stuff you’re supposed to eat in front of the TV. On their 40th birthday, John gives up his health-club membership and joins Bill in front of the TV. When they reach their 60th birthday (assuming they haven’t killed each other arguing over the remote or politics or ???), should John be healthier than Bill, or will he have lost whatever advantage he had by having worked out for 20 years?

Is /month a lot? I heard some ppl pay /month!? i have all club 24hr fitness but only low tier (no sport, etc). but im tired of 24 hr fitness so im going to cancel. but say 6 mos later, can i go back and pay the same rate im paying now? i know clubs no adays charge -40/month. Whoa!!
opps! i meant to say 0/year and some ppl pay /year. replace the "months" for "years"
