Are there tax benefits to buying my condo with my s-corp company’s money?

I have a personal training business. I have the option of buying a condo in a new complex that has a full gym. The complex said I could be the exclusive personal trainer for the complex. I could run my training business in their gym and could make fitness videos to sell to clients and sell vitamins etc. all from the condo complex and complex’s gym. Are there tax advantages to this set up versus now I own a home and contract at a local gym that takes a cut of my pay. The mortgage would be a reach for me, but hopefully some tax advantages might help with that. I might have to own the condo for several years before I sell because others like it are being built in the complex = more clients for me, but difficult to sell the condo if need.

There are pros and cons. Check with your accountant.

health club memberships
What month is best to get a gym or health club membership? I know rates/offers change based on demand.?

I’m looking specifically at Gold’s but imagine it is similar for all health clubs. Anyone work at a club selling memberships before?

Yes, yes, yes. I had many year’s experience selling gym memberships.

The best time of the year to join is in mid November — right before the holidays start. The gyms know they will get a huge influx of new members in January with all the New Year’s resolutions, so prices go up in January. However, nobody joins (or very, very few people join) right before they are going to indulge in all the holiday merriment. So, they are much more willing to cut you a deal in November or December.

What do you believe to be the most challenging role of a “not for profit” sports club President?

I’m contemplating a role as a President and have done lots of reading. I just want people who may have been on committees or Presidents themselves to give me their view on what they believe are the most challenging and/or time consuming parts of their role.

Most difficult part of any volunteer group is your volunteers.

They don’t have to be there so any time a fight occurs it’s likely you will drop in staff.

Stay out of anything you can involving gossip or smalls arguments so you look to be above it. Play the peacemaker after the vice president or someone with clout can’t fix it.

Point out the faults of both sides and stress the unimportance of the dispute over the importance of what you provide for everyone benefiting from the group.

And buy a big container of Tums antacid.

I need help bad! I don’t understand anything in software and such!?

Draft a simple data model that outlines a database management system.
This data model is for your final project and needs to track people’s participation in various fitness activities at a fitness center. For example, you could track member usage of free weights, muscle strengthening machines, racquetball courts, swimming pools, aerobic classes, etc.
Drafting a data model initially involves identifying entities and attributes that will form the structure of the database.

Please create a table using the entities and attributes that you want to use in your final project.

List at least 3 entities and at least 4 attributes for each entity.

You don’t really need to know a lot about “software and such” to do this exercise. Think about it logically.

If you understand data tables, I think that’s all they’re asking for. Divide the data into tables. For example, one table would have all the member info, like their member number, personal data etc. Make the member number the key.

Then link it to another table that has checkboxes for the type of exercises they do. Fields could be free weights, muscle machines, all the things you mentioned in the last sentence of your first paragraph.

Actually you could probably do it with just two tables. It’s not as hard as you think. Try mapping it out a piece of paper. You might enjoy it.

Why does the fitness industry ( well mainstream) support the myth of high reps and low weights?

For five years I have never put on muscles since trainers would instruct me to lift weights 20x times and I never put on any muscle. I started training with a few power lifters and I’ve quickly gained a muscular definition in 6months time. Does the fitness industry use this myth as a way to keep people in plateau limbo?

Trainers who were telling you you’d gain significant muscle with high reps and low weights are quite simply inept and should find a new career path.
