Studios are the best option for people who don’t want to work out in their home, but do want to undergo the rigors of Pilates exercises under the guidance of experts and on the appropriate equipment.

There are studios in almost all major cities and towns, both in the U.S. and in Europe, that offer courses in Pilates. You can locate your nearest Pilates studio online or via a city guide or directory.

Many celebrities, including actors and athletes, have stepped through the doors of Pilates studios, gaining a new outlook on fitness.

Studios are well equipped with equipment, multi-media kits, mats, and well-qualified instructors. A studio can also be a social center, as it is the gathering place for many people with a common interest.

Some studios have workout areas for individuals and groups, and resting rooms.

Some studios also have their own store from where you can buy equipment, props and videos.

Studios offer one-on-one and group classes. These are conducted on the mat and on equipment.

Group classes can be the best option for many novice and intermediate Pilates enthusiasts. Aim to join classes have a manageable student-teacher ratio – perhaps not more than fifteen students per teacher, so the instructor can monitor each individual’s form and progress.

Keep in mind that separate classes are held for beginner, intermediate and advanced students, so that as you advance, you can join new classes.

Pilates Info provides detailed information about Pilates exercises, equipment, videos, classes, studios, certification, and more. Pilates Info is affiliated with Business Plans by Growthink.

too much fat looks as bad is too much thin but a little fat makes a girl look prettier.

On your diet, I can suggest portion control. That worked for me. Try to stay away from large servings and be watchful of what you are eating. I eat pizzas but one slice in a week. Eating less of something is better then removing it from your diet especially if you have been fond of it in the past. That way you can cope with withdrawal symptoms and will on feast on it in a weak moment :-)
No weight loss technique is complete without exercise or increased physical activity. Look for ways to walk more, run more and stay away from elevators like plague. Use stairs whenever possible. Apart from helping you burn calories, this will also help you mentain a fine figure. Stairs are especially helpful in shaping your hips.
A ground rule.. stop watching Fashion TV. Those models are underfed and ugly. Boys like their squeezes with some meat on them :)

The first time you visit the Ob/Gyn, you may be wondering what to expect. These doctors specialize in treating women with problems and conditions surrounding the reproductive system, including pregnancy and childbirth.

Teens

If you are a teenager visiting the Ob/Gyn for the first time, your experience will be a little different then the experience of visiting your traditional doctor. Your doctor will ask a lot of questions about your health, including questions about your menstrual period that you might find a bit uncomfortable to answer. Remember, these medical professionals deal with women and their needs every day, so you do not need to feel uncomfortable.

If you are having problems with your period or reproductive system, your doctor will do a pelvic exam. This will require you to undress, maybe just from the waist down. Your doctor will then insert a small tool into your vaginal opening so he or she can see inside your body. If you need to have a pap test, the Ob/Gyn will place a cotton swab into your vagina to collect a small sample of cells to test for cancerous cells and other problems.

Pregnant Women

Many women do not visit the Ob/Gyn until they become pregnant, because they visit their family doctor for any health needs they experience up until that point. If your first visit to this doctor happens when you are pregnant, you can expect the doctor to ask questions about your period to determine when you got pregnant and when your baby should be due. If possible, know what the date of your last menstrual cycle was.

If you are due for a pap test, the doctor will request one. Your doctor will also want to test for viability of the baby. Depending on how far into your pregnancy you are, the doctor will either use a Doppler to search for the baby’s heartbeat or will order an ultrasound. This not only determines whether or not you have a viable pregnancy, but it also rules out the possibility that you are having more than one baby.

Your Ob/Gyn will also explain the options you have when it comes to your pregnancy. You may be given the option to work with a midwife instead of the medical doctor during your pregnancy. You may also be told about the tests that are considered optional.

This is also the time that you will be given a genetic screening. This is an attempt to rule out the likelihood that your baby will have genetic defects. It involves a series of questions about family history for genetic conditions. You will also be given the opportunity to have genetic testing done.

Finally, your initial visit gives you the opportunity to discuss your pregnancy and what to expect from the doctor’s visits throughout your pregnancy. You will be told the dos and don’ts of pregnancy, such as what foods to eat and avoid. Finally, expect to be given a list about situations that require a call to the doctor. With this information in hand, you will be ready to face the long months of pregnancy until you welcome your new baby to your family.

exercise class template
How do I make a template to schedule my day?

I am a Motivated Full-Time College Student. For every hour of class time, I will spend 2 hours for study. I also need 8 hours of sleep each day, time for preparation, food, and exercise. I need to make a chart that distibutes and schedules my time, so I can eat right and excersize too. Is there a template for Microsoft that does this, or a website I can use? Thanks…

Yes. microsoft office has several calendar templates you can use.

While all breasts naturally sag as a result of aging, this problem is significantly exaggerated by extreme weight loss. Much like letting air out of a balloon, it deflates with weight loss and the mound and nipple sag and, in many cases, end up with the breast pointing south and the nipple pointing to the floor. This breast deflation from weight loss creates a condition known as ptosis, or the standard plastic surgery term for sagging. (It also occurs in the upper eyelid and is known as lid ptosis).

Understanding breast ptosis and how to classify it is important for all patients to understand, because the degree of ptosis determines the appropriate plastic surgery treatment. Does the breast need a lift, an implant or a combined implant/lift procedure? If it needs a breast lift, what type of lift….vertical or extended? These type of treatment decisions are guided completely by whether breast ptosis exists and , if so, to what degree?

Breast ptosis is defined by where the nipple sits relative to the lower crease or inframammary fold. (where the underside of the breast meets the rib cage) In a normal youthful breast, the nipple and the entire mound sit above the lower crease. Breast ptosis occurs in four degrees of severity as follows; 1st degree (the nipple sits at the level of the fold), 2nd degree (the nipple sits below the fold but some breast tissue is still below the nipple, 3rd degree (the nipple sits below the fold and at the bottom of the breast), and pseudoptosis. (The nipple is above the fold but most of the breast sits below the fold).

Knowing the degree of ptosis determines breast reshaping options. For 1st degree ptosis, an implant alone or in conjunction with a small lift will work well. For 2nd and 3rd degree ptosis, vertical and extended lifts with implants for volume are needed. The lower the nipple sits, the greater the amount of lifting that is needed. Breast implants can never lift a nipple that is too low, that is what skin lifting procedures do.
