I may be getting the flu (I think)… I am starting to cough and I have muscle aches.
-Is it a good idea to follow my normal routine of exercise when I’m sick?
I exercise regularly 4-5 times per week (kickboxing and light weight training). The kickboxing class at the MMA gym I go to is a fairly intense 60 minute workout. The weight training class is a non-stop 30 minute circuit workout supervised by an instructor which is very intense.
-Or should I let my body rest and continue my routine after I get better?
Thanks!
I think that you should let your body rest, or else you may wind up feeling even worse. If you feel good enough to stretch, that should be fine, but I don’t recommend an intense workout.
Selling a fitness program to churches. Is this wrong?
I’m a personal trainer who would like to teach group exercise classes. I’m thinking about going to local churches and selling 4 week course (2 hours a week) at $40 per person. Is it wrong to do this? Obviously this is money on the side and it can be good money. Is there a business standard that says you shouldn’t make money off of non profit organizations? Has anyone done this in the past and had success? TIA
Dan,
there is nothing at all wrong with that. We all hope that these church members end up in heaven, but not before their time. Being overweight is not good for anyone. Your not making money off the church, just people that go to church. Go do it -
